Apr. 20, 2012 - The Anti-Discrimination Center joins in mourning the passing of Richard Bellman, a life-long advocate for the civil rights of all Americans.
Craig Gurian, ADC's executive director, said: "I had the privilege of working with Dick late in his career when he came to work at the Anti-Discrimination Center. His commitment to civil rights advocacy was undiminished, and he continued to make important contributions to this work."
"Living as we do in a culture that is suffused with relentless self-promotion, it is important to reflect on the fact that Dick remained firmly focused on getting the work done. In other words, he resolutely kept his eyes on the prize."
"Equally noteworthy, Dick had a strong and unmistakeable generosity of spirit that was inspirational to those around him. Our deepest condolences to his family."
