Local Law 34 of 2016 (clarifying expansive scope of public accommodations protection)

NYC Human Rights Law

While the City Human Rights Law definition of place or provider of public accommodation has been maximally broad since 1991, the operative public accommodations provision did not have updated language. This law make clear that the protections accorded under the law include the right to have ful and equal enjoyment of and access to places and providers of public accommodation on equal terms and conditions.
