Local Law 40 of 2016 (testing, indirect discrimination, broad standing)

NYC Human Rights Law

The law provides an explicit statutory basis for testing across all contexts of discrimination, makes explicit a cause of action for indirect discrimniation (imputing the protected class status of an employee or agent to the employer or principal for whom the employee or agent is working), and protects the longstanding principle that the bare invasion of a statutorily protected right is enough to confer standing.
