Local Law 75 of 2003 (domestic violence, sex offenses, or stalking; reasonable accommodation)

NYC Human Rights Law

This legislation expanded on the prohibition against employment discrimination on the basis of a person’s status as a victim of domestic violence to also probibit employment discrimination on the basis of a person’s status as a victim of sex offenses or stalking. It also required employers to provide reasonable accommodation to victims of domestic violence, sex offenses, or stalking. The legislation did not provide protection against housing discrimination.
